This non-electrified double-track railway line sustained considerable damage, particularly to the small bridges, where the force of the water, by destroying the abutments, caused the partial and total collapse of the small bridges.

As can be seen from the diagram, the collapses occurred between Lisiera station and Vicenza station, specifically on the 4-metre-span bridge at km 8+802 and on the 5-metre-span bridge at km 10+331.
