Description: Molnija, sometimes also known as Molniya, is a Russian manufacturer of watches and wristwatches, headquartered in Chelyabinsk, Chelyabinsk Oblast, in the Urals region. Molnija (Молния) is the Russian word for lightning.

The factory opened on November 17, 1947, to produce watches and wristwatches. The company's main customer was the Department of Defense of the Soviet Union, for which it produced wristwatches, pocket watches, and table clocks. Numerous unique pieces were also created, designed for application on tanks, warplanes such as fighters, submarines, and spacecraft. The company ceased production in 2007. The company focuses on the production of watches for warplanes and ships and is attempting to enter other markets as well.

The company's main business is the production of pocket watches decorated with military, religious, and historical motifs. In most production, approximately 80% of the work is done by hand. Some movements made by the company are also used for oversized wristwatches. After the factory closed, several pocket watches produced by the company before it ceased operations remain on the market. Their selling price ranges from $150 to $250.
