ELETTRIC TRACTION ISOLATOR

English Flag English VersionIsolatore 491

I-491 ISOLATOR

Insulator for supporting 3,000- or 10,000-volt power lines, type W30, designed to withstand nominal voltages up to 30,000 volts. Like the I-489 type, the insulator consists of two parts: the first comprises the groove for attaching the cables and the top cap, while the second comprises the two lower caps, which are cemented together.Isolatore 489

I-489m ISOLATOR

I-489m - “Monolithic” ceramic insulator (773/181), with a cast-iron cap for one carrying wire. This type of insulator is an evolution of the previous type with two cemented bells and was used primarily, in this configuration, to support carrying wires or 3,000-volt feeder lines.

LOAD-BEARING ISOLATOR

Load-bearing insulator used in traditional 3 kV systems, with steel brackets. The insulator consists of an internal fiberglass rod with a diameter of 40 mm, to the ends of which the upper terminal (with a button-type connection) and the lower terminal (for attachment to the bracket, pin, or polygon arm) are crimped. The fiberglass rod is encapsulated within a silicone rubber coating. This type of insulator is ubiquitous on the RFI network, as it is used to support carrying cables, 3,000-volt feeders, polygonation tie rods, and other types of conductors.

This insulator is an evolution of the previous I-621 model, differing from it in that the load-bearing clamp is attached via a button rather than a threaded shank.

FR2 overhead contact system model

TModellino TEype contact line model, 440 mm² cross-section, for speeds up to 200 km/h and with a linear weight of approximately 4 kg. The model was created by Tiziano Toneguzzo, a former TE technician FS from Casarsa (PN).
